Observing Ads 2

Quick, what store is this for? In a newspaper full of articles and ads, this small ad could get lost. If it takes longer than 1-2 seconds to find the logo or store name, then you've already lost the reader…and their business.

  1. I was lost for a minute! O.k. tent sale, winter, 20% off over powers the actual company logo. I didn't even think it was the company at first. I thought New Balance was just one of the products for sale. The product should be the main focus, then the sale info and so on...

  2. I thought that the tent was the main logo at first glance. I think that they did a good job in advertising a sale, the logo comes in second, maybe that is what they were aiming at? Once the eye sees 20% they glance down at the products. Now if they were trying to advertise their main logo then yes, Epic fail.

  3. I was able to spot the logo at first glance but the order of the ad is out of order. They should've put the 20% off on top of the ad after that the product your saling and after that the start and end dats of the sale. What they think is a tent doesn't look like a tent. Also the ad is for tent not clothes & shoes. The only good thing about the ad is if someone sits down and really looks at the ad they might by a tent. MAYBE!

  4. The good thing about this black and white ad, is that at least the logo was put up top. That's where I would look first, otherwise it would probably be a very shady store. I think the designer, or the advertiser for that matter, failed to use a proper format or a more flexible version of the main logo. This main logo looks like the tag.

  5. the first thing you see is the tent with the winter tent sale type underneath. definitely this ad doesn't work. the logo should be place under tent sale or make it bigger.
